Don'T FORGET those who are serving, throughout the year.

Do you use any tissue or "peanuts" in the boxes to keep them from breaking? I only saw you wrap the cookies in plastic bags and inserted in a tin. Is that tin then put inside a cardboard box?

Really good tips to send special packages to the troops. Thank you.

I am someone who is part of a group called Treats 4 Troops. We send out six to ten boxes every 6 to 8 weeks. One tip that was passed on to me and seems to work very well in keeping cookies fresh is to freeze them. We then pack the cookies bottom side to bottom side and use a food saver to keep them fresh. We have found that they are as fresh as they would be coming from the oven.

I've been a marine corps brat my whole life from my father to my brothers and now i'm married to one. Even if the cookies don't make it to them a month later, they still love them. I LOVE the idea of turning the kisses upside down. Those cookies are one of the favorites, but i never thought to make them that way. Thanks!!
